See a parade of boats on Saturday

The Mukilteo Yacht Club plans to celebrate opening day of this year’s boating season with a blessing of yachts and a colorful parade of decorated boats. The theme this year is “Margaritaville.”

Rain or shine, activities are scheduled to begin at noon Saturday with the blessing, to be held at the Port of Everett’s guest dock, off of 1720 W. Marine View Drive, Everett.

Weather permitting, the blessing will be followed by a parade of decorated boats. Boats will travel from the guest dock to the Mukilteo Lighthouse and back.

While the event is hosted by the Mukilteo Yacht Club, members from other clubs participate, including Dagmars Yacht Club and the Everett Yacht Club.
