What, no coffee? A black bear that had been hanging out in the wooded median along I-5 near Stanwood was caught Thursday night, lured into a trap baited with doughnuts and maple syrup.

The bear might have been caught earlier in the week if the trap hadn’t been accidentally tripped by a State Patrol trooper who mistook it for a rest stop snack bar.
