How bad were car sales in April?
So bad that General Motors’ 34 percent dropoff over year-ago sales was its smallest decline in four months.

Always look at the bright side: The swine flu outbreak’s been tough on Mexico, but folks down south are making the best of things by turning to humor. They’re painting smiley faces on their surgical masks and making “aporkalypse” jokes.
In the U.S., we have to settle for laughing at Lou Dobbs.
Star search: In honor of Astronomy Day, the Everett Astronomy Society is hosting stargazing activities tonight, weather permitting.
If it’s too cloudy to see the stars, they’ll use their telescopes to search for available supplies of hand sanitizer and surgical masks.
