Veteran mortgage banker Liv Shelden has joined the Bank of Everett, president Mike Deller announced. Shelden has 25 years of experience in the mortgage banking business. She has worked in private mortgage banking as well as serving as a mortgage consultant for various institutions in Snohomish and King counties. Shelden also has worked in the title business as an account officer.

Cara Ledbetter has joined Real Estate Capital in Everett as a loan officer.

The Master Builders Care Foundation, a philanthropic arm of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, has assembled more than 450 volunteers to build 32 wheelchair access ramps on May 16 for low-income, disabled homeowners in Snoho­mish and King counties. In Everett, ramps will be built for Judson Suddarth, 620 112th St. SE; Brian Ellis, 11622 Silverlake Road; and Glen Hager, 4515 94th Drive SE. Over the years, Rampathon has contributed ramps valued at more than $1.7 million.

Snohomish County Councilman John Koster will hold a business roundtable May 12 featuring state legislators assessing the outcome of the 2009 session and how it will affect the economy, businesses, communities and government in Snohomish County.
