Classes at the Sno-Isle Tech Skills Center in south Everett will be canceled again on Thursday after a fire that destroyed the school`s main building.

School officials are working to find alternate meeting locations and replacement equipment for the programs that were located in the building, said Steve Burch, the center’s executive director. They hope to have most of those plans completed by Friday.

Today, they have been assessing damage and how to restore power and water to other buildings on the campus, 9001 Airport Road.

The Sno-Isle Skills Center offers 21 different technical programs for students from 14 different school districts throughout Snohomish County. It is home to 836 students who split their day between the center and their high schools.

Six of the school`s programs were housed in the building that was destroyed by the fire. Those include the culinary arts program, computer web programming, dental assisting, medical assisting, the nursing assistant program, and the computer services and networking program. The school`s administrative offices also were located in the building.
