Tech school to reopen
The Sno-Isle Tech Skills Center will reopen today, three days after fire destroyed one of the vocational school’s main buildings.
School officials have found temporary quarters off campus for the displaced classes, said Andy Muntz, a spokeswoman for the Mukilteo School District, which oversees the skills center.
Fire marshals reported the fire was sparked accidentally by construction workers involved in a nearly $9 million remodel.
Sno-Isle is home to about 835 students from Snohomish and Island counties who spend half their time at the skills center and the remainder at high schools.
