Everett City Council, 6:30 tonight, council chambers, 3002 Wetmore Ave. The agenda includes the first reading of a proposed ordinance that would require rental properties be inspected annually. A final vote is June 10.

Stanwood City Council regular meeting, 7 p.m. Thursday, board room, Stanwood-Camano School District administration building, 26920 Pioneer Highway. The agenda includes a public hearing on the city’s six-year street improvement plan.

Lake Stevens Arts Commission, 6:30 tonight, Community Senior Center, 1808 Main St.

Marysville Hearing Examiner, 7 p.m. Thursday, City Hall, 1049 State Ave. The examiner is scheduled to hear a request to allow construction of a 404-square-foot second-floor addition to a home at 1911 Eighth St.
