Arlington: Runway closed for repairs
Arlington Airport crews are repairing cracks on runway 11-29. The runway is set to be closed 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today and Wednesday.

Lake Stevens: Bicycle helmets available
Lake Stevens Fire District 8 has bicycle helmets for sale.
The helmets are available for $10 at Lake Stevens Fire Station 82, 9811 Chapel Hill Road. Helmets will be fitted for each person.
City law requires anyone under the age of 18 to wear a helmet while riding a bike, skateboard or scooter in the Lake Stevens city limits, according to the fire district. Children not wearing a helmet may have their bike, skateboard or scooter confiscated by the Lake Stevens Police and a parent or guardian must pay $60 to retrieve it.

Mill Creek: Matthew House fundraiser
A fundraiser for Matthew House is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 13 at the North Creek Presbyterian Church, 621 164th St. SE. There will be dessert, entertainment, and a magic show. Matthew House is a nondenominational nonprofit that provides help for families of those who are incarcerated at Monroe Correctional Complex.

Mill Creek: City board has 2 openings
The city is looking for two volunteers to serve on the city’s Art and Beautification Advisory Board. The board works on events and projects within the city, as well as selects, acquires and places artwork within city limits.
