Good ‘ol boys

Tom Wopat, who played the strapping Bo on “Dukes of Hazzard,” sings and dances up a storm — and presumably does one of those cool hood slides — in the stage version of “Catch Me if You Can” at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle.

The musical makes a few key changes from the movie. For one thing, young con man Frank Abagnale Jr. escapes from FBI agent Carl Hanratty by jumping his customized Dodge Charger across a creek.

Just Wondering Dept.: A new doughnut shop in Mill Creek offers bacon-covered maple bars. Will police officers feel weird eating them?

Another roadside attraction: Butterfly enthusiasts say several spots along the Mountain Loop Highway are great places to view the colorful creatures.

Other places along the highway are ideal for viewing piles of spent bullet casings.

Quitters’ way out: The Everett School District is one of three districts in the state where school board members serve six-year terms. Some board candidates say they think the terms should be shortened to four years.

Granted, six years is a long time. Sarah Palin, R-What’s Next?, would never make it.
