Dr. Robert O. Hickman, the namesake for the first new neighborhood park in Edmonds in more than three decades, lives nearby in Woodway. A story in the Aug. 5 Enterprise said he lived in Edmonds. The park was named for Hickman and the playground for J.P. Patches after a 4-3 vote by the City Council; the story had said the vote was unanimous. Voting yes were Strom Peterson, Ron Wambolt, D.J. Wilson and Peggy Olson; Steve Bernheim, Dave Orvis and Michael Plunkett cast dissenting votes.
