1980s flashbacks on Facebook

Lasting legacy: Anyone who spends time on Facebook has probably seen them: goofy snapshots from the era of big hair and leg warmers.

And it’s a given that 20 years from now, folks will be laughing at the fashion foibles of today. But there’s a hitch. We eventually got rid of the aviator glasses and cut off the mullets we wore back in the 1980s. But unless the public option covers laser surgery, all those tattoos we acquired in the last 10 years aren’t going anywhere.

Don’t sweat it: An $8,000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers is set to expire on Nov. 30.

If you’re in the market for a house, don’t be discouraged. The way things are going, the property you’ve got your eye on will be $25,000 cheaper by January.
