STANWOOD — Police on Monday evening searched the area for a missing autistic teen.
The 15-year-old Stanwood boy left school at some point on Monday and wasn’t accounted for, Snohomish County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. He was found safe in the Marysville area about 7 p.m. He has a high-functioning form of autism.
Police were called shortly after 3 p.m. The city of Stanwood contracts its police services through the sheriff’s office.
“We are relieved to have a happy ending to this story,” Hover said.
