Today
Mill Creek: Jackson High School Associated Student Body offers “A Tribute To Our Veterans” at 9:15 a.m. Monday at 1508 136th St. SE. Community members are invited.
Veterans Day, Wednesday
Everett: Gov. Chris Gregoire is scheduled to speak at 11 a.m. at Paul G. Allen’s Flying Heritage Collection, Paine Field, 3407 109th St. SW. A panel of veterans and reconnaissance pilots will discuss their wartime experiences. Admission is free for veterans with military identification.

Everett: A service is planned for 11 a.m. at the Eternal Flame at the Snohomish County Courthouse, 3000 Rockefeller Ave.
Everett: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2100 offers a Veterans Day Dinner at 6 p.m. at 2711 Oakes Ave. in Everett. There will be meatloaf, mashed potatoes, vegetables, a salad and roll. Veterans eat for free, and it costs $10 for others. There will be a brief program before dinner. For more information, call 425-252-2100.
Mill Creek: A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Mill Creek Veterans Memorial is planned for noon at Library Park, 15429 Bothell-Everett Highway. After ten months of work by members of the Mill Creek Arts and Beautification Board, the idea was approved for construction. Names of veterans will be engraved on basalt columns located on a paved courtyard. Those interested in adding the name of a veteran to the memorial should go to www.cityofmillcreek.com or call 425-745-1891.
Mount Rainier National Park: Veterans and active duty military folks and their families can visit the Mount Rainier National Park at no charge. For more information, go to www.nps.gov/mora.
Mukilteo: The Future of Flight Aviation Center &Boeing Tour honors veterans by offering all United States and Canadian military veterans, including retired and active duty military (in uniform or with military identification), free admission to the center at 8415 Paine Field Blvd., in Mukilteo.
Family and friends, up to eight, are admitted for half price.
Everett: Brown Bear Car Wash offers free car washes to veterans and service personnel at 3523 Broadway. Just identify yourself as a current or former member of the military to the attendant and they will wash your car at no charge.
Snohomish and Island counties: Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill &Bar restaurants offer a free entree, from six choices during lunch or dinner to veterans and active duty military members.
Restaurants are located at 4626 196th St. SW in Lynnwood; 806 SE Everett Mall Way in Everett; 31810 Highway 20, Oak Harbor; 3702 88th St. NE in Marysville; 22916 Bothell-Everett Highway, Bothell; 5710 134th Place SE in Everett.
Everett: Famous Dave’s BBQ at 1206 SE Everett Mall Way offers a free dinner and beverage to active military and retired veterans.
Thursday
Everett: Trinity Lutheran College offers “Voices in Wartime” at 7 p.m. Thursday at 2802 Wetmore Ave. in Everett. Planned is a video, followed by a panel of student veterans talking about on their wartime and post-active duty experiences.
