Arlington: Centennial Trail construction
Updates on the construction of the Centennial Trail north of Arlington are to be offered at the next meeting of the Centennial Trail Coalition of Snohomish County.
The meeting is set for 7 p.m. Monday in the Hadley Hall community room, adjacent to the Arlington Boys &Girls Club, 18513 59th Ave. NE.

Camano Island: Plant a winter habitat
Learn how your landscape can provide sustenance for wildlife even in winter months at a class taught by John Christianson of Christianson’s Nursery in La Conner.
The class is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 E. Camano Drive. Examples of the types of plants that provide food or shelter for birds and other animals will be presented, along with garden maintenance tips.
Camano Wildlife Habitat Project hosts the class.

Granite Falls: Street extension hearing set
A public hearing on a plan to extend Galena Street is planned for Wednesday.
The hearing is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. at City Hall, 206 S. Granite Ave.
Written comments will be considered as part of the formal record if they are received by 4 p.m. that day. Comments may be mailed to the City Clerk at Granite Falls City Hall, 206 S. Granite Ave., Granite Falls, 98252.

Marysville: Budget hearing Monday
A public hearing on the city of Marysville’s 2010 budget is scheduled for Monday.
The meeting is planned for 7 p.m. at City Hall, 1049 State Ave.
Mayor Dennis Kendall’s proposed 2010 preliminary budget is set at $113.8 million, down 19 percent from the original 2009 budget of $140.8 million.
Kendall proposes dipping into reserves to help offset downturns in revenue.

Stanwood: Help the historical society
A Swedish pancake breakfast fundraiser for the Stanwood Area Historical Society is set for 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center, 27130 102nd Ave. NW. Cost is $6.
Those who attend can view the current exhibit, “Berries, Farms and Dairies,” a look at what Stanwood and the surrounding area looked like in the early days of agriculture.
Everett: Bazaar at Fairway Estates
The annual Craft, Bake and White Elephant Sale is planned for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday at Fairway Estates 55+ Community, 1427 100th St. SW in Everett.
Bazaar in Snohomish: Snohomish Seniors Holiday Bazaar is planned for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Snohomish Senior Center, 506 Fourth St. in Snohomish. All fundraising events help support senior programs and services.
