Let’s play ‘Jeopardy in 3-D’

Patent pending: With 3-D technology already a hit with movie audiences, you can expect to see 3-D televisions in the nation’s living rooms soon. Although there are some limitations to the technology, such as the requirement that viewers wear special 3-D glasses, a hassle when you get up for a snack or to answer the phone.

That’s why fine folks at Buzz Laboratories are hard at work on our new invention: 3-D bifocals.

  • Shaking things up: A magnitude 6.5 earthquake gave Northern California a jolt Saturday, causing property damage, power outages and a lot of frayed nerves.

    Scientists stressed that the quake really was a geologic event and not a shockwave of disbelief over the likelihood that University of Southern California’s head coach Pete Carroll will be leading the Seattle Seahawks.

  • Pork project: Hawaii is apparently so strapped for cash that it doesn’t have enough money for a special election to choose a new member of Congress to replace a retiring representative.

    Our friends in the 50th state just aren’t showing enough imagination. Can’t they just raise the money needed by holding a benefit luau and pig roast?
