EVERETT — Paul Rabil of the Washington Stealth has been named the National Lacrosse League Transition Player of the Week for his five-point performance in the team’s season opener.
Rabil helped the Stealth beat the Colorado Mammoth 17-8 Saturday night at Comcast Arena.
Rabil finished the game with two goals and three assists. He also gathered up six loose balls. Rabil had a hand in each of Washington’s first three goals — scoring a short-handed goal and handing out two assists — as the Stealth jumped to a 3-0 advantage and never trailed.
The Stealth return to action Friday at home against the Edmonton Rush. The face-off is set for 8 p.m.
