Keep both thumbs on the wheel

That’s a big 10-4, LOL: The U.S. Transportation Department has banned drivers of commercial trucks and buses from sending text messages from behind the wheel. Violations can result in a fine of $2,750.

If the violations continue drivers could be subject to groundings on nonschool nights, loss of their cell phones for two weeks and no more “True Blood,” young lady!

The Sappiest Place on Earth: A new theme park opened in London today dedicated to Abba, the ’70s Swedish pop group known for hits including “Dancing Queen” and “Mamma Mia.” Among the exhibits, visitors to AbbaWorld can dance and sing next to a video holograph of the band.

With today’s opening of AbbaWorld, “It’s a Small World,” is no longer the world’s most annoying theme park song.

Bam! Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse later this spring will launch a new talk show on the ION television network that will blend music, celebrities and food in a show taped before a live audience and with music from a house band.

“The Emeril Lagasse Show,” will air at 8 p.m. Sundays. Or at least until Jay Leno decides he wants to do that show, too.
