TACOMA — The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors survived a fourth-quarter scoring drought and held on to beat Moses Lake 44-38 Saturday to place fifth in the Class 4A girls state basketball tournament in the Tacoma Dome.

The Warriors (25-3) led 40-29 going into the fourth quarter, but didn’t score until Angela Woods dropped in a free throw with 1:45 remaining in the game to stop a 9-0 Moses Lake run. Woods added two more free thows with 12.9 seconds to play to clinch the victory.

Woods finished with a team-high 12 points. Ashley Albertson added 10.

Tiffany Morris scored 14 points for Moses Lake (17-14). The Chiefs took home the eighth-place trophy.
