Army Pfc. Randon Soderstrom recently served 10 months in Iraq as a combat engineer security patrolman with the 73rd Engineer Company, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division. Soderstrom graduated from boot camp at Fort Leonard Wood in 2008. He currently is stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
The private is the son of Cheryl Soderstrom of Sultan and Donald Soderstrom of Edmonds.
Air Force Capt. Dana R. Parker, daughter of Steve and Vicki Parker of Marysville, recently served in Haiti as part of the earthquake relief effort there. She is a pilot with the 2nd Airlift Squadron at Pope Air Force Base, N.C. Her crew flew supplies into Haiti and carried U.S. evacuees out of the country. Parker is a 2000 graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
Navy Seaman Michael J. Malidore recently graduated from basic training at the Navy Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill. He is the son of Douglas and Lisa Gould of Lake Stevens and is a 2006 graduate of Inglemoor High School. His fiance is Nichole Belouskas.
Air Force Airman Patrick J. Forbes graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Peter and Jeanne Forbes of Arlington, and is a 2007 graduate of Selah High School.
Air Force Airman Tyler D. Brittin graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Teri Brittin of Mukilteo and David and Judi Brittin of Mukilteo, and is a 2009 graduate of Kamiak High School. He is stationed at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota.
Air Force Airman Ryan R. Rhodes graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Karen and David Rhodes of Arlington, and is a 2005 graduate of Arlington High School.
Air Force Airman Joshua R. Hunt graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Timothy and Tamara Hunt of Oak Harbor, and is a 2008 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.
Navy Airman Vicktoria A. Johnson, sister of Nicole Johnson of Bothell, recently completed basic training and was meritoriously promoted to her current rank at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
Navy Seaman Recruit Lauren Clarke, a 2009 graduate of Lake Stevens High School, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
Navy Seaman Lyndsey N. Potts, a 2006 graduate of Snohomish High School, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
Navy Seaman Kalden J. Field, a 2009 graduate of Snohomish High School, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
