Duch makes 2010 Team Canada roster

Second-year forward Rhys Duch was named to Team Canada’s official field lacrosse roster for the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Lacrosse Championships which take place in July in Manchester, England.

Duch, a native of Victoria, B.C., is the only current Stealth player to earn a spot on Team Canada’s roster for the competition that runs from July 15-24.

The 2009 National Lacrosse League Rookie of the Year joins notable NLL players Dan Dawson (Boston), Mark Steenhuis (Buffalo), John Grant (Rochester) and Brodie Merrill (Edmonton) as Team Canada defends its 2006 title.

Stealth forward Jeff Zywicki was a standout on the 2006 Canadian team that beat the U.S. for the championship.

The Roughnecks (5-3), who beat Philadelphia on Saturday, moved ahead of Orlando (4-3) while Washington (6-3) stayed situated in third place.
