Summer events
What’s happening this summer? The Herald seeks submissions for Splash, the newspaper’s annual summer event calendar.
By noon Monday, send concert, outdoor movie, kids camp, Independence Day event, fairs and community festival details, along with times, dates, addresses, costs and contact information to The Herald, Attn.: Features, P.O. Box 930, Everett, WA 98206; or e-mail amcinnis@heraldnet.com.
The calendar is scheduled to be published May 14.
Shopping party: The Cavelero Mid-High Music Boosters are throwing a huge shopping party to raise money for the Cavelero Music Wranglers.
The fundraiser is set for 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the school, 8220 24th St. SE, Lake Stevens. The $5 entry fee includes a raffle ticket.
Kitchenware, candles, scrapbooks, food, makeup, books and fragrances are among the items to be sold.
Kids, get healthy: Kids need at least an hour of physical activity each day for their bodies and their brains.
YMCA of Snohomish County is offering a Healthy Kids Day event, with magicians, clowns, nutrition and health information and crafts.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 17 at the Everett, Marysville, Mill Creek, Monroe-Sky Valley and Mukilteo YMCA buildings.
All activities are free and open to the public.
