Hello, Billy; well hello, Billy

Rebel with the fringe on top: The Tulalip Ampitheatre has announced its summer concert series. Among artists performing at the 3,000-seat outdoor arena will be Motown’s Temptations and Four Tops, bluesmen Robert Cray and Buddy Guy, Southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd and ’80s bad boy Billy Idol.
Better catch Idol now. He’s about two years away from recording an album of Broadway show tunes.
Run smokeless, run deep: The U.S. Navy plans to ban smoking on submarines and will keep nicotine patches onboard for those who want to quit. The decision follows a study that showed unacceptable levels of second-hand smoke when subs were submerged.
If sailors aren’t interested in the nicotine patches, they will be allowed to smoke outside, but can’t be within 25 feet of a hatch.
Beer and a Danish: Workers at the Carlsberg brewery in Copenhagen, Denmark, walked off their jobs after management removed beer coolers from work sites and informed employees beer drinking would be allowed only during lunch hours in the canteen.
Remind us again about how onerous life is for people living in those socialist European countries.
