Explosion tops Portland

MONROE — The Snohomish County Explosion beat the Portland Showtime 133-97 under new head coach Nathan Mumm in a National Athletic Basketball League game Saturday night.
Chris Weakley, who scored 25 points in the win Saturday, resigned as the Explosion’s coach Friday. Mumm, the team’s director of ticketing, will guide the team for the rest of the season.
