EVERETT — Prosecutors recently received the police investigation into a wrong-way crash on Broadway that killed two people and seriously injured two others in February.
The case is under review and no charges have been filed. Prosecutors are in the process of setting up meetings with the victims’ families to discuss any charging decision.
That decision could be made in the coming weeks, Snohomish County deputy prosecutor Tobin Darrow said. He received the investigation last week.
Camille A. Spink, 28, is suspected of causing the Feb. 26 crash. Spink told Everett police that she drank three glasses of wine at a friend’s house before heading north on Broadway, according to a search warrant filed in March.
Police suspect Spink missed a turn and was driving the wrong direction on the busy street when she collided with an oncoming car.
Killed in the crash were Sheena Blair, 24, and Martin Ramirez, 19, both of Tacoma. Two other men, both 18, were injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Spink and her passenger weren’t seriously hurt.
Investigators reported that a breath test of Spink’s blood alcohol level was .209 — more than double the legal limit. A sample of her blood was taken later that night at the hospital.
Spink and her friend were driving to a bar when they crashed. She told police she didn’t know how the collision happened, court papers said. Spink has not been arrested.
