A six-season tour

So this is the tale of our castaways: After six seasons of confounding plot lines, fans of ABC’s “Lost” hope to get some explanation during tonight’s series finale regarding the smoke monsters, the man in black, polar bears and whether anyone gets off the damn island.
Spoiler alert: They do get off the island, but their rescue boat is then stranded on another island with a skipper, his first mate, a millionaire and his wife, a movie star, a professor and a Kansas farm girl.
Ate pork chop for dinner, had nice applesauce too: Facebook isn’t officially open to kids under 13, but the company is offering a similar site for pre-teens called Togetherville. Rather than inviting kids to type in their own status updates, they can choose from a menu of “quips,” which are intended to cut down on gibberish in their posts to friends.
Now can they turn their attention to limiting the adult gibberish on Facebook?
Anything to get out of school: A 13-year-old California boy is now the youngest person ever to reach the summit of Mount Everest. Jordan Romero reached the top of the 29,035-foot peak Saturday and used a satellite phone to call his mom with the news.
He then asked if she could come and pick him up and drop him off at the mall.
