Crash, dumped asphalt snarls Highway 99 traffic in Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD — A dump truck full of asphalt tipped over Thursday afternoon causing a major back-up on Highway 99 in Lynnwood.

Four vehicles were involved in the crash, which occurred about 4 p.m. at the intersection of 168th Avenue SE and Highway 99, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.

Four people were rushed to the hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.

Asphalt and debris littered the intersection and police diverted traffic, causing significant backups.
