The next Oprah?

A Mountlake Terrace woman has auditioned for a talk show on OWN, Oprah Winfrey’s new television network .
In addition to the show, the winner will have his or her weight fluctuations and diet heartbreaks chronicled weekly in at least two supermarket tabloids.
Pull harder: More than 1,000 rowers will converge on Lake Stevens this weekend for a regional rowing tournament . The Lake Stevens Rowing Club will host the event.
The tournament is expected to bring plenty of extra business to area restaurants and hotels, while also making Lake Stevens a quieter place because all those rowers will crowd out a portion of the lake’s Jet Ski fleet.
