Swim: Swim clinic set for Mill Creek
West Coast Aquatics in Mill Creek has scheduled a swim clinic for July 11 hosted by two-time Olympic gold medalist Megan Jendrick.
The swim clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include presentations, question and answer sessions, autograph signings and stroke technique work. Swimmers must be between the ages of 6 and 18 and bring a towel, suit, cap and goggles.
Each swimmer will receive a T-shirt, swim bag, DVDs, and a goal-setting booklet.
Registration is $75 and space is limited. Forms are available at West Coast Aquatics, 15622 Country Club Drive in Mill Creek.

Apply: Zonta Club funds nonprofits
The Zonta Club of Everett is currently accepting applications from nonprofit agencies for annual funding.
Zonta International is a worldwide organization whose main goal is to improve the status of women locally and globally through service and advocacy.

Volunteer: Need for 55 and older
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, sponsored by Catholic Community Services, is looking for people ages 55 and older who want to make a difference in their community.
Volunteers in the program receive free supplemental liability, accident and automobile insurance coverage while performing their volunteer duties.
The program aims to match a volunteer’s lifetime of skills and experience to the organization of their choice.

Help: Japanese Gulch work party
The Mukilteo Wildlife Habitat Team, Mukilteo Trail Volunteers and the city of Mukilteo are co-sponsoring a community event on July 11 in lower Japanese Gulch.
There will be a birding walk along the trail at 1 p.m. where stream detectives will check out the health of Japanese Gulch Creek.
A community work party will begin at 2 p.m. at the Japanese Gulch Trail area located at 1201 Mukilteo Lane in Mukilteo. Volunteers will spread fresh chips on the trail and help with other trail clean up tasks.

Create: Crafts at Snohomish Library
Kids who want to make a summer craft can get creative on Tuesdays at the Snohomish Library.
All school-age children and their caregivers can visit the library between 2 and 4 p.m. through August 17 to participate in the craft projects.

Volunteer: Clean and socialize cats
Volunteer help is needed to clean up after and socialize cats for one to two hours any late afternoon of the week at the Stanwood Human Society.
Volunteers who have experience in the construction trades also are needed.
