Would you drink to I-405?

One for the road: A New Jersey brewing company is honoring the New Jersey Turnpike by naming special releases of its beers for select exits on the famous toll road, such as Exit 4 and Exit 11.

Sure, around here you’ll hear some odd requests at bars for pints of Haywire, Dead Guy Ale and even Scuttlebutt, but we doubt you’ll ever hear someone ask for four glasses and a pitcher of I-405.

Pay to play: Twitter, the free and popular communications tool, hasn’t outlined how it intends to support itself, much less generate a profit once its $55 million in venture capital runs out. Some are wondering whether Twitter users will be willing to pay as they Tweet or will put up with advertising.

Well, well, well, New Media and your “information wants to be free” attitude. Not so smug anymore about Old Grandpa Newspaper and his old-school advertising and subscriptions now, are you?

If the name fits: Edmonds asked for ideas about what to name its new park on five acres of the old Woodway Elementary School campus and has received 88 suggestions, some of them more serious than others. Among the more satirical responses were Oh, I Wish It Were Bigger Park and Dog Poop Park.

Hey, we’ll handle the juvenile humor around here.
