An economist in Berkeley, Calif., argues that the U.S. could create more jobs by shortening the workweek.
Typical out-of-touch ivory tower thinking. The average American’s workweek already has been reduced in a bold program called “mandatory furloughs.”
Hold the weed ‘n’ feed: They may be the bane of lovers of lush lawns, but dandelions have at least one positive attribute: They provide food for birds.
So don’t think of your dandelion-infested lawn as an eyesore; consider it wildlife habitat.
Write like Ike: A recently launched website called I Write Like claims to analyze a sample of your writing to determine which famous writer your work most closely resembles.
The Buzz had I Write Like analyze today’s column, and was informed that it most resembled the work of science fiction novelist Isaac Asimov. We can only assume that I Write Like confused “economist in Berkeley, Calif.” with a malevolent robot.
