Fire destroys Bremerton business

BREMERTON — Firefighters continued to pour water onto the smoldering remains of Arnold’s Home Furnishings store in Bremerton more than 10 hours after a five-alarm fire broke out.
The fire Monday apparently destroyed the landmark business where damage is likely to run into the millions of dollars. It had about 25 employees.
Fire Chief Al Duke says the fire was reported about 2 a.m. by a passer-by. About 125 firefighters battled flames through hot weather.
