Max Headroom is back

“Max Headroom,” the cult TV series from the 1980s, has finally been released on DVD. The show takes place in a world with 4,000 TV channels. In other words, it’s a period piece set in late 2007.
A Day in the Life of LOLCats: A film project called “Life in a Day” gathered 80,000 video submissions from around the world for a documentary about life on a single day in July.
And since it’s a YouTube project, the movie will represent life on July 24 as consisting entirely of kids falling off skateboards and adorable high jinks involving cute cats.
Fallback position: President Barack Obama said Thursday that he’s confident the nation will not suffer back-to-back recessions, even though the economic recovery appears to be slowing.
But if a “double-dip” recession does hit, the president said he’s cautiously optimistic that he can line up, at the very least, a temporary teaching gig at City College of Chicago in the spring of 2013.
