Prep girls soccer: Jackson 2, Edmonds-Woodway 1

LYNNWOOD — The Timberwolves rebounded after falling to Kamiak for their first loss of the year by beating Edmonds-Woodway on a late goal by senior Denae Fitz. Fitz scored on a free kick in the 70th minute to give Jackson a 2-1 lead it wouldn’t relinquish in the Wesco South game. Jackson (3-1 league, 3-2-1 overall) scored first in the fifth minute on a goal by Cara Wegner. Edmonds-Woodway tied it at 1-1 in the 23rd minute when Cameron McCarthy found the back of the net.
