Everett students learn leadership

Mariner High School students Holly Ellis and Weyni Haddis participated this summer in the World Affairs Council’s third annual Global Youth Leadership Institute.

The five-day program was held at the University of Washington in Seattle.

The 32 high school students who participatedin the leadership institute program learned about global issues.

Arlington students succeed in reading

About 50 Eagle Creek Elementary School students from the Summer Reading Club spent 1,000 or more minutes reading this summer.

A celebration was held last week to mark the students’ achievements.

Marysville man earns degree at Excelsior

Martin Villacote Arcilla recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Excelsior College in Albany, NY.

Excelsior College is a private school that focuses on the needs of working adults.
