EVERETT — After an 52-51 overtime thriller victory against Jackson last week, E-W took an extra period to defeat Kamiak at Goddard Stadium. Running back Zack Berg totalled 295 rushing yards on 26 carries and scored three touchdowns in the Wesco South contest. Kamiak forced the overtime period, tying the game on a 7-yard TD pass from Anthony Berg to Quin Carlson after a pass interference call on fourth-down from the E-W 15 kept Kamiak alive. E-W missed a potential game-winning 36-yard field goal as regulation expired. Kamiak’s only turnover of the game came in overtime, as quarterback Anthony Berg overthrew his receiver with E-W intercepting. The Warriors kept the ball on the ground in overtime, with fullback David Pikelny punching it in from 7 yards out for the win. Each team had its struggles, with Kamiak having seven penalties for 45 yards, and E-W giving up four fumbles and two interceptions.
