Northshore seniors take a liking to Facebook
Published 9:18 pm Monday, November 8, 2010
For those who don’t have a page on Facebook, you are missing out on what half the world is doing.
Even if you don’t post on a page, you can read about organizations such as Northshore Senior Center in Bothell.
They’ve noted recent happenings, including rehearsal for Curtain Call Theater, casino night and a Medicare meeting.
They even offered a class on how to set up a Facebook account. Charlene Freeman writes about those 70 years old or older who would be willing to share life stories.
“My life stories project is a collection of portraits and interviews,” Freeman writes. “My hope is that by sharing these portraits and stories I honor all of us, subjects, viewers, storytellers and listeners, for generations to come.”
With the Northshore Facebook page, folks can be a fan, but not a friend.
For non Facebookers, that is way more information than needed, but feel free to call for information about the life stories at 425-487-2441.

Bitterness that she isn’t on the ABC-TV show this season may be erased by seeing her perform in Everett. Rumor had it she wasn’t happy that her husband, ballroom dancer Alec Mazo, wasn’t picked up for this season.
And he’s a past winner, with celebrity dance partner Kelly Monaco from “General Hospital.”
Sliwinska and Mazo are taking their show on the road.
Their performance is set for 7 p.m. Dec. 18 at Oly’s Dance Studio, 2931 Bond St., Everett. Tickets are $35 to $75.
