Accident with minor injuries closes U.S. 2 in both directions

INDEX — Both directions of U.S. 2 south of Index were closed about 6:30 p.m. after a car accident.

The Washington State Patrol was on scene Wednesday night and was expected to have tow trucks clear the accident, trooper Brandon Lee said.

Only minor injuries were reported in the wreck.
