Make good use of greeting cards

A Recycled Greeting Cards Craft Party is Saturday at the Mukilteo Library.

Bring in your old holiday cards and calendars from 2 to 4 p.m. to 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.

Make envelopes, boxes, gift tags, flowers and other decorations. Children must be accompanied by an adult and must be able to cut with scissors, fold and trace using stencils.

Visit an old-world Christmas village: Enjoy Wintertide, a free annual celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave. in Everett.

Join carolers and warm up next to a bonfire with a cup of cocoa. Kids activities include holiday craft projects and a model railroad.

Top Food hosts food drive: It takes more than $10,000 for the Snohomish Community Food Bank to fill its Christmas dinner baskets with produce, hams and more. With that in mind, Snohomish Top Food is collecting donations at its check-out counters through Thursday.

Shoppers can donate any amount or buy food from a list of needed items, which is available at the guest services counter. Little round hams and milk are particularly wanted. Top Foods is at 1301 Ave. D.

Police seek volunteers to give 10 hours a month: The Arlington Police Department is looking for volunteers to help with administrative duties. The department also is looking for a management-geared volunteer to supervise the program. For more details or to pick up the application packet, go to City Hall or the police department.
