Gallery North celebrates the watercolor works of Kim Caldwell during the month of December, featuring her lively show “Coastal Wanderings.” This new series features glowing landscape paintings on handmade gold and silver gesso prepared surfaces, adding a rich patina and depth to the imagery.
“The gold and silver undertones of my new series add an exciting nuance to my work that I am thrilled with,” Caldwell said of her current work. “My recent travel adventures have provided captivating vistas and inspiring moments of awe that I am able to share with others through this collection of paintings.”
Caldwell is a veteran artist who combines her 23 years of painting experience with an infectious enthusiasm for continued learning and experimentation. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and teaches at her Dreamscape Studio in Mountlake Terrace. Caldwell is also an Associate Member of the Northwest Watercolor Society and an Active Member of Seattle Co-Arts. Her work is included in private collections in the United States, Ireland and Japan.
