The Lynnwood Arts Commission presents artwork by fiber artist Grace Willard and photographer Donald Simpson at the Lynnwood Library Gallery now through Jan. 7.

Edmonds artist Grace Willard creates fiber art pieces using handmade paper, technical drawing and embroidery techniques. Her work is intricate yet remains very organic in nature. Each piece is inspired by botanical prints and woman’s hand work that she encountered while growing up in West Virginia.

Willard exhibits both nationally and throughout Puget Sound where she resides with her partner and fellow artist Joseph Larkin.

Photographer Donald Simpson has a great appreciation for patterns, colors and vistas of the world. Residing in Bellingham and into his retirement years, he seeks to finds beauty both in unexpected locations and traditional landscapes. Frequent subjects of his camera include manufactured remnants found in local junk yards and modern buildings throughout our great cities.
