Prep boys basketball: Arlington 56, Edmonds-Woodway 53

EDMONDS — Zach Berg made a 3-point basket midway through the fourth quarter to put Edmonds-Woodway ahead by seven points but Arlington fought back to take a 56-53 win in the Wesco 4A game Thursday at the E-W gym.

Arlington’s Griffin Ginnis scored on a layup with 53 seconds tio play to give the Eagles a one-point lead and teammate Bo Brummel made two free throws with three seconds to go to secure the win.

E-W’s last-second attempt to tie rimmed off.
