When two musicians who have played together for more than 25 years are putting on a concert, you know it’s probably going to be good.
And with these two, you might get some good laughs along with some good tunes.
The Grammy-Award winning duo of Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel will bring their musical mix of Americana fingerstyle guitar, double reeds and ocarina to Snohomish this weekend.
Tingstad and Rumbel perform from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish.
Tingstad and Rumbel began making music together in 1985 and have created 19 albums, including the popular holiday album, “The Gift,” and “American Acoustic,” which was honored in 1998 as acoustic instrumental album of the year.
The two appeared at Carnegie Hall in 2000 and won a Grammy in 2003 for “Acoustic Garden,” according to their bio.
Besides the music, when these two get together on stage, they also like to share stories and anecdotes.
Tickets are $15. Call 360-568-9412 or go to http://tinyurl.com/4rqwm6r.
