Notre Dame-Seattle U. baseball game moved from Everett to Bellevue

Baseball fans who want to get a look at the Seattle University baseball team will have to travel to the Eastside rather than to Everett this weekend.
The Redhawks, in just their second season of existence after Seattle U. re-started the program as part of its move from NCAA Division II to Division I, had been set to open its home schedule Friday at Everett Memorial Stadium against Notre Dame. Instead, because of the forecast of snow and rain over the next few days, the game will be played as part of a doubleheader beginning at noon Saturday at Bellevue’s Bannerwood Park. Seattle and Notre Dame will play a third game at noon Sunday at Bannerwood.
Friday’s game had been the only Seattle baseball game scheduled in Everett this season.
The Redhawks opened their season by splitting a four-game road series at Cal State Northridge this past weekend. Seattle University has six players on its roster with ties to Snohomish County: junior first baseman Jace Sloan (Everett CC), junior infielder Riley Tompkins (Lynnwood), sophomore pitcher Joey Pulitano (Lake Stevens), junior pitcher Brandon Kizer (Marysville), junior pitcher Seafth Howe (Archbishop Murphy) and senior pitcher Arlo Evasick (Everett CC).
