SSTANWOOD — Jessica Hall’s pitching carried Stanwood to a season-opening win over Mariner. Hall pitched a five inning complete game shutout with 11 strikeouts and no walks while allowing just three hits.The Spartans (1-0 overall) offense didn’t appear to be rusty coming out of winter, as the team pounded out 15 hits in route to their 12-run effort over the Marauders (0-1). Senior second baseman Tori Kriegel led the way for the Spartans, going 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI.
