Send your best shot

We want to see your photos of outdoor adventures in the Northwest. Some photos will be published in The Herald’s outdoor sports page.

Send high-resolution photos to jbuchanan@heraldnet.com. Include your name, the name of anyone in the photo, when and where it was shot and why you took the photo the way you did.

Skype in the library: Adam Rex, author of books for teens and children, will visit the Mukilteo Library via Skype at 4 p.m. Thursday.

His most recent book, “Fat Vampire: A Never Coming of Age Story,” is the tale of the anti-Edward Cullen.

His children’s book, “The True Meaning of Smekday,” is a comic science fiction road trip.

Pick up an autographed bookplate at the event. The library is at 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.

“Fiddler on the Roof, Jr.”: Northshore Christian Academy Middle School offers “Fiddler on the Roof, Jr.” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Northshore Christian Church, 5700 23rd Drive W. in Everett.

Learn about college academy: An Everett Community College Ocean Research College Academy open house is planned for 6 p.m. Thursday at the Corporate & Continuing Education Center, 2333 Seaway Blvd. in Everett.
