Prep softball: Glacier Peak 10, Kamiak 9

SNOHOMISH — Kamiak played as the home team though at Glacier Peak due to poor conditions on its home field, but the Knights couldn’t pull out a win in the bottom of the seventh inning of the nonleague game. The Grizzlies battled back after falling behind 6-1 after two innings, scoring in each inning through the sixth to take the lead. Chantel Conrad blasted a two-run home run in the fourth and reached on an error to score the go-ahead run the following inning. Olivia Wenzel batted 3-for-5 to pace the Grizzlies. Callie Bircher (1-0) got the pitching victory and batted 2-for-4 with a double. Angie McFall (0-1) took the loss for the Knights and hit 2-for-4 with a double. Karis Monesmith also hit 2-for-4 with a double in the losing effort.
