Mukilteo ferry terminal closed this weekend

The Mukilteo ferry terminal will be closed today, Saturday and Sunday as crews perform extensive repairs to the dock.

The weekend closure is the first of three planned over consecutive weekends. The Mukilteo terminal is also scheduled to be closed March 25-27 and April 1-3.

To provide an alternative, the ferry system will run boats between Edmonds and Clinton on Whidbey Island all three weekends. They’re adding 17 sailings for each of the three Fridays and 16 each for Saturday and Sunday, compared to 37 and 35 on the usual Mukilteo-Clinton schedule, officials said.
