Prep baseball: Ferndale 4, Shorecrest 2

FERNDALE — Ferndale scored all of their funs in the fifth inning to secure a come-from-behind win over nonconference foe Shorecrest (1-1 overall). John Olson (1-0) earned the win for Ferndale, pitching six innings of three-hit, one-run ball with four strikeouts. The Scots were led by Ted Hammond, who finished 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
