Prep boys soccer: Lakewood 2, Meridian 1

MERIDIAN — Kevin Marroquin scored the decisive goal for Lakewood in the 67th minute. The freshman’s late goal answered a tying goal by Meridian’s Greg Couveleer in the 63rd minute. The Cougars jumped out to a 1-0 lead just before the first half ended on a goal by sophomore James Johnson.
