SNOHOMISH — Snohomish starter Grant Gunning (1-0) picked up his first victory of the season with a four-inning outing yielded just three runs on five hits while striking out six in Snohomish’s come-from-behind 8-3 win over Meadowdale.

Garrett Dmochowski helped propel Snohomish (1-1 overall) over nonconference opponent Meadowdale (0-3) with a 2-for-3 game and two RBI.

Sam Herter led the Mavericks by batting 1-for-2 with a double.
